Congratulations to Maya Amsler - This Year’s Harbor Heroes Award Recipient!
Maya spearheaded a clothing drive for the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless collecting over 300 winter items for donation, items included coats, scarves, snow pants and gloves. Maya is 12 years old, attends the Marblehead Charter School and is the daughter of proud parents, Felix and Emma Amsler, long time Marblehead residents.
Established in 2007, Harbor Heroes recognizes Marblehead students*who demonstrate, through their actions, a sense of caring, community, and kindness “Service Above Self”, one of the founding tenets of Rotary, is essential to making the community in which we live a better place.
Nominated by Bob Erbetta, a Rotary Club of Marblehead member, Maya received a $50 check to use as she wishes. She is donating it to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.
