PRESIDENT’S CORNER
MARCH 24th – NEW MEMBER DAY
March 24th will be New Member Day. Club President Kathleen Murphy asks that we all plan on inviting one relative, friend, co-worker, or neighbor to join the club. Kathleen will hand out invitation cards the club printed especially for this occasion.
Also, please note Katheen’s new e-mail: kathleen.murphy@GibsonSIR.com

SICK BAY
Best wishes for Pam Peterson and John Williams, as they convalesce from hip replacement surgery. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery… How lucky is this club that when the secretary and the assistant secretary are out on sick leave at the same time, we are able to count on Don Doliber’s generosity and willingness to step right in.

LARRY PROCTER

The Board of Directors approved a donation to the Rotary Foundation in memory of Larry Procter, a dear Rotarian who passed away in mid-December.

The Rotary Club of Dhulikhel announced that it has officially handed over physiotherapy equipment to the Physiotherapy Unit of Manekharke Outreach Center and to the Krinetar Outreach Center of Dhulikhel Hospital – Kathmandu University Hospital.
The delivery is part of a wider project designed to provide quality physical therapy services in rural community centers, and provide financial support for low income patients in rural areas made possible by a Rotary grant, support from our club, and the hard, competent, and persistent work of Patricia Sullivan. Thank you, Patricia.

SCHOLARSHIP DINNER…
COLLEGE BOUND
We will host the annual scholarship fundraising dinner at The Landing in the last week of February. John Lindahl reminds us of what our club’s scholarship trust is, and what it does in an ongoing blurb series.
Both of the college scholarships, the Enhanced Scholarship and the Fraffie Welch Scholarship, are repeating awards to the recipients, but ONLY if the students meet certain course load, grade point and community service requirements.  We also ask recipients to tell us in person or in writing how the scholarship has helped them.”
