Food Pantry Request for Help
to Sort Out Expired Food Items from the Shelves
Before the US Postal Service's Stamp Out Hunger Food Collection on Saturday, May 13, there has been a request for our help to go through the Food Pantry shelves at the Masons' lower level to sort out expired food items.
If you are available starting at around 9 a.m. after our next couple of breakfast meetings, please do plan to help.
Jessica plans to be there from about 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. this Tuesday.

Paul Harris Recognition Nominations
A Paul Harris Recognition is the highest tribute a club can offer to a fellow Rotarian or a community member. It represents an investment of $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation in the honoree's name or the transfer of 1,000 Foundation points to honor the recipient.
Typically, the Paul Harris Recognition is in tribute
for outstanding Service Above Self and exemplification of
Rotary's ideals and the Four-Way Test.
One way to bestow this honor is to use the club's accumulated Foundation points. This year, the club can honor one individual at our upcoming Club Installation Breakfast in June.
All club members can nominate an individual for the club's recognition. However, only members who are
Paul Harris recipients can vote.
If you would like to nominate a fellow Rotarian or a member of the community for a club-sponsored Paul Harris, by end-of-day on Friday, May 5, please send Jessica Barnett - jdharbar@comcast.net - the name of your nominee and a paragraph explaining why this individual should be recognized.
A second way to bestow a Paul Harris Recognition is to use your own Foundation points or to combine your Foundation points with a fellow-Rotarians' points to equal 1,000 points. If this second method is of interest to you, please contact Linda Doliber - ldoliber@hotmail.com - for details.
We ask you to use either option as quickly as you can because it takes time for the Rotary Foundation to process all of this and that process has been slowed down significantly due to COVID.
A third way to bestow this honor is to contribute $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation directly.
Please see Linda Doliber for details on this.

Seeking Zoom and Technology Help
In preparation for Rotary Year 2023-24 beginning July 1,
are there two or more members who would be willing to help set up the projector and supervise Zoom for our breakfast meetings?
Please contact Linda Doliber if you are willing and able to help.

Corrections - Apologies
Your Scuttlebutt Editor made two mistakes in the story about Hammond Park in last week's issue of Scuttlebutt.
Don Humphreys was a cherished member of the Rotary Club of Marblehead and his name should have been correctly spelled
as Humphreys.

Did we forget to mention anything?
If so, let us know on Tuesday in person or on Zoom.
