Report from the August 17 Board Meeting:
Finances: Our treasurer, Vincent, shared a brief overview of
past and present club finances with the Board,
and, in the upcoming weeks, the Finance Committee
will look at line items to determine how the club can ensure
continued attention to savings and accuracy in reporting.

Watch your email! In the upcoming weeks,
following Rotary's Best Practices,
you will be receiving a member satisfaction
survey from your Board.
It will ask for your opinion and suggestions about
the club's programs, financial structure, food service,
meeting schedule and meeting location.
It is you, the members, who drive
the Marblehead Harbor Rotary,
and your input will be vital in determining
the success of our club's overall program of
Service Above Self and how we will
"Create Hope in the World."
Emergency Help for Maui
Alicia has created Facebook, District EBulletin
and Club Website notices that Rotary District 5000 (Hawaii)
is raising disaster funds to assist the devastated citizens of Maui.
Your Board voted that, for the next 4 weeks,
"Happy Dollars" will be donated to that fund.
Any amount that you care to give will
purchase emergency supplies and
help Rotarians with the recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Two New Giving and Service Opportunities
***From now until prior to August 27, Louise will be
collecting canned goods which will be used
to weigh down 900 luminaries that will
line the Gloucester Boulevard on August 28 in remembrance
of those lost to substance use and as a healing ritual
for those left behind. Afterward, the canned goods
will be donated to the Open Door Food Pantry.
Our hearts go out to the organizers and participants in
Luminaries for LOVE.

September 23 at 10:00 a.m.
for Beach Cleanup.
Teams can register with SPUR
and SPUR will designate a specific team location
and supply the tools.
