CELEBRATE THOSE WHO INSPIRE US
Who is our community’s UNSUNG HERO? Each club in District 7930 should select one person it wishes to honor by October 1st. Our Club does not have a nominee yet. So, please send your suggestions to Michael Cognata, at mjcdoc4@aol.com. Persons to consider in Mike’s words would be “a local regular person who does things selflessly and who would probably be very shy to accept an award for doing so. This is how our DG Bob Wood envisions the recipient.” Mike will have more on this at our Cub meeting, but please do send him your suggestions expeditiously. All nominees will receive a Paul Harris Award on Thursday, November 8th at 6:00pm, as we celebrate their selfless service to others. You can read more about the awards ceremony in the flier below, or here.

3 CLUB BARN PICNIC WAS A FUN RIDE
Pam reports that “Rotary members from three clubs, the two clubs in Marblehead and the Ipswich club enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Cedarwood Farm, last Sunday, with a buffet lunch, rum and beer tastings and a demonstration of horse training.” That you Pam for this report and for the photos.
A warm welcome to the 3 clubs

PLUNGING FOR A COOL MILLION?
Not just cool, but r-e-a-l-l-y cold! The Winter Plunge in the ice cold Atlantic Ocean is scheduled for February 9th 2019. Registration is now open for Rotary’s largest fundraiser to eradicate polio! Our District needs to raise an additional $300,000 to reach our $1 million goal (yes, we have $700 thousand). When we reach that goal the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will match our funds 2 to 1 with an additional 2 million dollars. Read all about it here:
