An inspiring PETS weekend!
It was a weekend with about 400 incoming Rotary club presidents from the northeast.
Linda Doliber and Jessica had the privilege of
hearing and seeing in-person
Rotary International's 2023-24 President Gordon R. McInally from Scotland
and
Rotary International's Polio Plus Chairperson
Michael McGovern from Maine
and
Alex Montoya,
motivational speaker and author.
Lots to share with you in the upcoming weeks!
How 'bout creating our own
RCoMH "signature service project"?
Our club is so fortunate to have a spectacular signature fundraiser in Holiday Pops and another fundraiser that is on its way to being another signature fundraiser --
our 2-day yard sale in May.
How 'bout if we create a signature service project --
a hands-on project we can all participate in and
that is uniquely identified with our club?!
What would you think about creating "a pantry in a bag"
-- enough non-perishable emergency food to help seniors get through 2 or 3 days of storms, blizzards, power outages or other emergencies?
Does this sound good to you?-
If so, may we form a team of 3 to 5 members to
investigate what food items to include that seniors can easily handle, what toiletries and necessities like toilet paper and Kleenex to include, and explore eco-conscious bags or containers
to store it all in?
If you are interested, please let Jessica know
at jdharbar@comcast.net
Thank you!
