ESRAG Initiative for Discussion
Judith Black is an official member of
the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG).
She is working on a proposal for all of us to consider
in line with ESRAG's initiative to "Retire Your Lawn: Plant Hope."
As Judith will be at a conference this Tuesday,
we are hoping she can Zoom in to share her idea.
We'll have copies of the proposal for you in time for Judith's presentation.
The proposal can be submitted for a $1,000 prize by the January 15 deadline.
Whether or not we make the deadline,
this is an initiative ESRAG is encouraging and merits our attention.

Thank you to everyone who participated in
Cookin' in the Lifebridge Kitchen with Judith Black
on Christmas Morning and New Year's Day

Judith will be at a retreat on Tuesday,
and sends this poem of thanks...

To the might team from New Years

We all must give some thanks

Their strong backs and stalwart hearts

made a meal that did rank.

Trish and her bride, sweet Nancy

Worked their fingers to the bone

And not once did we hear

A complaint or a groan.

Joan, she of heart

whose kindness shines

Cut all the hams

In slices fine

Linda Doliber, the one and only

arrived early and left late

A healing heart, and yet

she did not hesitate

Sheila came to lend a hand

And sweet Scott too

Couldn’t have more willing folk

On your cooking crew

But, my heart did soar with loving joy

I can testify

When given any major task

Our Navy man said ‘Ay Ay’

Thank-you all.  It was a good night and a grand meal.
