HOW TO DONATE  TO ERADICATE POLIO NOW

Our Marblehead Harbor Rotary has set a goal to raise and contribute
$500 to this remarkable effort.

The world-wide effort to end polio is one of Rotary's signature international projects  and something we can all be part of and proud of.

Today, only two countries are still fighting polio:
Pakistan and Afghanistan. Some cases have prsented themselves in Gaza.
Donations and our support are still needed.
Here are two ways you can make your donation:

1. You can mail  your donation via a check through the club. Make out your check to  Rotary International with Polio Plus on the memo line. Then mail your check ot our club at Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor, P.O. Box 941, Marblehead, MA 01945. Our bookkeeper will forward it to Rotary International along with Polio Plus Donations from the club itself and from fellow individual members.

2. Or, you can send a check directly to Rotary International, with Polio Plus Fund in the memo line. That address is 14280 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693.

From the Club's Nominating Committee
Dear Members: It’s the time of year when every member has an opportunity to volunteer for positions that ensure that the Harbor Rotary continues its wonderful tradition of service…locally, nationally, and internationally.

Our new slate of officers and directors will begin serving July 1, 2025. Nominations for all officers and one Director are open.

Thus far, Amy Hart has agreed to have her name placed on the slate as President and Vince Carotenuto has agreed to continue serving as Treasurer (and he would very much welcome an assistant treasurer candidate to step forward!). Jessica, Tricia, and Linda will fill the Past President slot, primarily in an advisory capacity, each ex-president advising in her specialty area: Tricia, Finances; Jessica, Pops and Organization;
Linda, District and Foundation.

Please give the following slate of officers and directors your thoughtful consideration and, by Nov. 12, contact Linda (ldoliber@hotmail.com), Bob (raerbetta@comcast.net) or Amy (ahart.rotary@gmail.com) to let them know how you’d like to serve to keep our club active and strong.

President 2025-2026 Amy Hart

President-Elect 2026-2027

Secretary 2025-2026 (welcomes guests, takes attendance, takes notes at board meetings and distributes same to board members, inputs info on ClubRunner database, generates other reports as requested by the board, District, or RI)

Treasurer 2025-2026 Vince Carotenuto

Assistant Treasurer (assists Secretary by receiving weekly breakfast income, assists Treasurer monthly in preparation of financial report to the board)

Directors (one meeting a month, advise officers on club issues, receive and vote on Allocations Committee recommendations):

Director: (3-year term) 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028
 Open Director: Mike Elkin 2024-2025, 2025-2026, 2026-2027

Marblehead Food Pantry needs our help!
There is a genuine need to provide items for the pantry.
As you can, please consider bringing items to our Tuesday meeting.
The shelves really are empty.
This is one way we can serve our community and
help make things better.
In addition to shopping at
your own favorite grocery store, consider finding good values at Family Dollar Store on Canal Street in Salem across the way from Crosby's Market.

Reminder:
Please be sure to contact
potential Holiday Pops Sponsors!
The Sponsorship deadline is November 1
