When Amy Hart so importantly was elected to serve as our
2025-26 Club President, her Director position on the Board became an open seat. Nominations to fill this position starting July 1 are now open. You can nominate yourself (aka volunteer to serve) or you can nominate another member in good standing.
Responsibilities include attending monthly board meetings on the third Thursday of every month. The benefits are many including being part of the team that guides the club's projects and vision.

1. Fourth of July Cards for Overseas Active Duty Military
An array of Fourth of July note cards will be available on the tables for us to pen greetings and good wishes to be sent to those serving overseas in the U.S. military. Just a simple message and a signature from the Marblehead Harbor Rotary. Let's see how many we can sign this Tuesdsay so we can get these processed in time
to arrive for the Fourth of July.
2. Snacks and Treats for Overseas Military Personnel
In addition to cards and notes, our service people greatly appreciate gifts of snacks and toiletries. We'll be collecting items to send out as we can fill the box.
Joan Cutler has provided this updated list of suggestions:
• NO CHOCOLATE - IT WILL MELT!
• Jerky is always welcome.
• Individual packages of

Powdered drink mix (with electrolytes if possible)

3. Preparing Dinner at LifeBridge - May 29 with Judith Black
This is the 5th Wednesday of the month and it's our chance to fulfill our commitment to Judith.

4. Marblehead Food Pantry Donations - June 4
As discussed at an earlier meeting, let's try to make the first Tuesday of every month to day to bring in our monthly contributions for the Marblehead Food Pantry.
Non-perishable food and hygiene items only, please.

your aluminum pop-tops.

Guide the Club's Philanthropic Giving
Time to decide on the charitable and philanthropic organizations that will receive funds set aside from the proceeds of Holiday Pops.
1. All RCoMH members in good standing are welcome to nominate non-political and non-religious service and non-profit organizations to receive donations from our club.

Deadline - Tuesday, June 4
2. Let us know if you'd like to serve on the Allocations Committee. Members in good standing should contact Jessica at jdharbar@comcast.net by end of day on 5/26/24.
Right now the committee members are
Tricia, Vincent, Joan, Judith and Jessica.
Responsibilities of committee members:
*Review the prior year's recipients list and all newly suggested recipients. Plus, vet the newly nominated recipient organizations according to our mission statement and Rotary standards.
*Perform due diligence on the background, governance, efficacy and good standing of each of the newly nominated organizations under consideration.
*Commit to as many as four or more meetings, typically held on Zoom on Thursday afternoons/evenings at 4:30 p.m. for one hour.
*Be fair and objective in consideration of worthy organizations and the amount of money to be given to each entity.
