Tuesday meeting: We are pleased to have Dr. Steven Perlman with us this Tuesday morning.  You can see more about his amazing work in these videos. Right click on the hyperlink and at the dropdown click open hyperlink. 
The Dr. Steven Perlman video, which explores the creation of Special Olympics Special Smiles program, has been selected as finalist for the 2020 ShareCare Awards. The video was produced by Special Olympics and ESPN as part of the Game Changer series. This is the first year that Special Olympics submitted a video for consideration. 

 
Our service project:  We have brought our first installments to Salem State, the Lynn Neighborhood Network, and to the Chelsea Collaborative. More groceries have been brought to Judy Gates’s home on Pond St and are ready to be distributed. Call her at 339.440.2853 to set a pickup time.  At our Tuesday March 2nd meeting please volunteer to be a transporter.  The Lynn donations can be brought to Lis Horawitz at 119 Rockaway, the Chelsea location, 25 6th Street, is a few blocks from the Chelsea off ramp going to the Mystic River Bridge.

 
Calling all photographers: Please check your photo files; and, if you have some fairly recent shots of our club Rotarians at work or play, we need them. The Membership Committee is in the process of updating our club brochure and would like to include some current members' photos. Send them to John Williams at jgandjawilliams4647@comcast.net.

World Peace and Understanding event on March 3, 2021 at 7:00 pm.  Our speaker for the evening will be 2018-2019 Global Scholar recipient Seamus Matlack.   Seamus, a native of Boston, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2018 and went on to pursue a Master’s of Science Degree in Defense, Diplomacy and Development at Durham University in England.  Rotary Foundation’s Area of Focus of Peace and Conflict Resolution

International Women’s Day is held every year on March 8th, a day to celebrate the social, political, economic, and cultural achievements of women around the world. The theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 world. 
 
We are excited to have RI President-Elect Shekhar Mehta as the Keynote Speaker this year for the 2021 NEPETS on March 11, 2021.  Everyone in our district is invited to attend this opening zoom meeting.  There is no cost to attend this meeting and are looking forward to seeing you there at 6"30 p.m.
