BOARD MEETING BITS
Your Board met this past Thursday:
Co-President Jessica was formerly voted as
Holiday Pops Chair for 2024.
While every member is asked to help out in some way to
ensure the success of our major fundraiser,
we are thankful that Jessica will be
leading the charge and we'll all benefit from
her prior experience as a Pops Co-Chair,
her organization and communication skills,
and, most of all, her dedication to
this club and making sure we will be able to continue
our tradition of service well into the future.
Also attending the Board meeting were Becky Linhart and
John Williams, representing the board of the
Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor Enhanced
Scholarship Trust. There was a discussion of the writeup format of the club and Enhanced scholarships that is published to the high school seniors. We are all looking forward to the club and Enhanced scholarship committees working more closely together as both entities move forward to assist
the students and their families in framing financial plans
for college. That writeup will be submitted to the High School Guidance Department by the end of January.

Looking down the road, a Tuesday speaker
you won't want to miss...
CALM IN CHAOS
Matt Christensen, owner of the above new firm offering training in emergency services, is scheduled to speak to the club on March 12. He will have with him valuable information and equipment geared to helping non-medical folks apply life-saving aid when there has been a serious accident. He will also be bringing a complete kit which may be purchased. Ideal placement for the kits would be anywhere where there is already an AED (for cardiac emergencies) in place.

THE LEE AND BARRY WEED SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
There is an opportunity for accepting additional donations to increase the amount already allocated to the scholarship. Please see Linda or Jessica for specifics if you are considering making a donation.

ENDING POLIO
Still looking for a creative activity that could morph into a fundraiser for the Foundation's Polio Plus effort. Speak to a Board member with your idea(s).
The Ipswich Club is doing a clever
"P is for Polio...Plunge, Paddle or Pedal"
fundraiser. Read about it in the District
EBulletin newsletter.
Surely, we can put our creative minds together
to raise funds for this District Effort in January and February.
Put your thinking caps on, please!
