The District Assembly
Wednesday, April 12, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Four Points Sheraton in Wakefield
Note: Our Club will pay the $35 registration fee for members who will be attending for the first time!
The District Assembly is our next step in the journey of training incoming club leaders for the upcoming Rotary year 2023-24, including the Grant Qualification Seminar, which is open to all club members.

For the Grant Qualification Seminar we recommend that each club send at least two members to attend - but there is no limit. If your club grant committee includes multiple members, it would be ideal if they could all attend and get qualified.
The District Assembly is open to all Rotarians in our district!
The evening will begin at 5:30PM with five parallel tracks for:
- Presidents-Elect – Post PETS
- AGs
- Secretaries
- Membership and Public Image Chairs
- Foundation Chairs
RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Award
May 12-14 - Camp Rotary in Boxford
Our club board of directors has approved $325 for a Marblehead High School student to attend this weekend of leadership skill-building and recognition.
Do you know a Marblehead High School student?
We should encourage them to apply for RYLA!
More information to come!
Update on Plans for
"The Big Toe Plunge"
Saturday, May 20
to benefit Rotary's longstanding battle against polio and post-polio syndrome.
From Francie King and Tricia Sullivan
- The date of our Plunge has been set for Sat., May 20, 2023, 9-10 am at Devereux Beach.
2. Our goal for this year is $1000.
- There will be a one-sheeter at the Plunge informing the public of the progress made worldwide with polio eradication, along with guests (to be named) who can speak personally about the polio experience.
4. Other groups in town are being invited to participate.
- Katherine Koch, the Director of the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. has agreed to be our planning partner.
- Our hope is to provide coffee and lemonade (or similar refreshments) for those attending, along with donuts (to revive the energetic Plungers!).
- Questions? Call Francie King 617-293-8523 or Trish Sullivan 781-820-9482. Additional updates will follow.
Did we forget to mention anything?
