CELEBRATE ROTARY AND ITS VOLUNTEERS
AT THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AWARDS
 
 
We are very excited about Ed Bell, Don Doliber and The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor being honored Thursday night by the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce.
Ed was named Person of the Year, Don was distinguished with the Community Service award and our Club was chosen, along with the Marblehead Club, as the Non-Profit Organization of the Year.
Thank you to all those who registered and paid for their discounted tickets. You will get further information soon.

Last week Skarleth Ponce came to our club meeting to receive her scholarship check and share her plans to attend North Shore community college to become a dental assistant. One more exa,ple of your generosity at work. Congrats, Skarleth… and good luck!
RCoMH AT THE FARMER’S MARKET

RCoMH club will have a booth at the Marblehead Farmer’s Market, this Saturday, September 21st, from 8:30am to 12 noon. If you signed up to work at the booth and forgot the shift you sighed up for, please e-mail Kathleen.

Thank you Jessica Barnett and John Williams for producing our club brochures and directory. They printed copies were delivered last week and are available to all members. You can pick up your copy, or download them below. They are also posted on our website for downloading and printing
Please note that the club directory is available in printed format only and can only be distributed to cub members.
ROTARY LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE’S SEMINAR
 
 
RLI is organizing a leadership seminar on October 5th.
The seminar is divided in four parts that cover topics like re-energizing clubs, fundraising, ethics, public relations, and a host of other topics that will benefit participants who, by virtue of their Rotarian membership, are already leaders in their professions and communities.
The complete curriculum listing is available at www.rlinea.org.
Each part is a one-day session and the sessions must be taken in order. Early registration is preferable.
Cutoff day for registering is September 23rd.
When: Saturday October 5th, 2019, 7:30am – 3:00pm
Where: Sheraton Four Points, Wakefield (right off of MA Rt. 128)
Cost: $100 (covers all curriculum materials, continental breakfast, mid morning coffee break, lunch). Ask Kathleen Murphy or Linda Doliber how you can get a refund.

“PAWTAILS” AND DINNER
FOR THE SERVICE DOG PROJECT
 
 
The Marblehead lunch club is organizing a fundraising dinner at a club members’ home, on October 17th at 5:30pm to benefit the Service Dog Project, that trains Great Danes as service dogs. Learn more about the project here. If you would like to attend (cost is $20) please speak with club president Kathleen Murphy at a club meeting or click here to e-mail her.

WINDRUSH FARM GALA
 
 
The Windrush Farm is hosting its annual fundraising Gala on Saturday, October 19th from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, at the Black Swan Country Club, 258 Andover St, Georgetown, MA. The event benefits children and adults with physical, cognitive, emotional and social challenges.
Enjoy cocktails, silent auction, dinner, live auction, Pony Up and dancing with your friends to a DJ. The silent auction has many unique items for riders, adventurers, travelers and foodies. Click here for more details.
