Thanking Francie and Bob for supplying tasty sweet bites and Lesley for bringing delicious fruit last Tuesday!
Appreciating Amy and Elizabeth for bringing sweet bites and fruit this Tuesday!
Linda will be perking the coffee.
Until the Board meets on 3/21 to firm up a meal plan
going forward, we will be asking everyone to pay by the
"coffee only" rate of $5
(to cover the cost of compostable
flatware and paper supplies, coffee and cream).
Members who are bringing sweet bites and fruit
will not be expected to pay on the day they
supply the food.

A message to all members from Judith Black:
"I do believe Sherry Fine inspired us all last week. Thank you to those who stepped up and donated so that inner city youth could make the journey to the Living Waters orphanage and school in Guatemala this summer. Mike Elkin is going to support a single student for this coming summer trip, and some of us are pooling our money to try to support another. To that end, if you are willing and able, you can send your donation check to me at 33 Prospect St., Marblehead, MA 01945 and I will pack all the checks I receive off to Living Waters. Or you can mail your donation directly to:
Sherry Fine
170 E. 88th St., Apt. 4H
New York, NY 10128-2204
Please mark "Summer Guatemala student trip"
in the check memo.
A huge thank you to All!"

NEPETS (Northeast President Elect Training Seminar)
Held March 7,8 and 9 at the Boston Marriott Newton
Theme: UNITE, INNOVATE & TAKE ACTION
How? INCREASE OUR IMPACT; EXPAND OUR REACH;
ENHANCE PARTICIPANT ENGAGEMENT, AND INCREASE
OUR ABILITY TO ADAPT
Linda and Patricia attended and experienced
an amazing gathering of over 450 Rotarians from 5 Districts
covering Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut,
Rhode Island, Massachusetts (the Cape and Islands, too!)
We were honored to meet with the leadership teams of all those districts and we shared stories and ideas with Rotarians both new to Rotary and those who have been members for many years. Breakout topics included Membership, DEI,
Enhancing Public Image, Creating Vibrant Clubs
and the Rotary Foundation.
We heard several motivational speakers including
Chris Singleton, former Chicago Cubs team member whose mother was killed in the Charleston, SC hate shooting at
his church. Chris, a teen himself at the time, then took over the care of his younger brother and sister, eventually got married, became a father, and wrote a book about creating empathy by "hearing the other side." He now travels 150 days a year educating folks that Love Overcomes Hate...powerful stuff!
Keynote speaker Saturday was Rotary International's incoming president, Stephanie Urchick who personally went around
to every breakout session and met with attendees
to encourage us all to get the word out about
"The Magic of Rotary."
