FIENDS FOREVER
Friends Forever USA’s Amelia Burke introduces program alumni Una Hendron (c) and Abbie Robinson (r),
from Belfast, at the club meeting last week

Una Hendron and Abbie Robinson, from Belfast, visited with our club last week to reminisce about their experiences with Rotary supported Friends Forever – an organization that provides (amongst other projects) for Catholic and Protestant youth from Northern Ireland to spend time together in the United States.
Accompanied by Amelia Burke from Friends Forever USA, they spoke about how the experience taught them that “dreams can become reality and failures becomes successes”.
Upon returning home they engaged in “random acts of kindness” to try and foster peace and understanding between the two communities, and supported drug prevention programs. Friends Forever is supported by Rotary. Our own Cyndi Kilbarger is the club’s liaison with the organization.
