PAST DISTRICT GOVERNOR POOJA SINGLA'S EDITS TO LAST WEEK'S REPORT FROM THE DISTRICT INSTALLATION DINNER
1. It’s Joan (Joni) Gardner (not Jolie ) received the ‘Excellence in Service to Humanity’ - Rotary’s recognition to a ‘non-Rotarian’ awarded to up to 150 people worldwide through Rotary.
2. Three Rotarians in D7930 achieved the ‘Major Donor’ level at the Rotary Foundation. One wanted to remain anonymous, Ed Harding of Wakefield couldn’t come and the third Rotarian Gail Ralston of Andover Rotary Club was there to receive the Major Donor award.
3. Three Rotary clubs in our District showed significant increase in membership - Andover, Lynnfield and Newburyport..(those three club representatives received the award on stage.
4. Terry Curran installed the presidents and AGs after the passing of Gavel, Governor’s pin and the home club of District Governor Banner.
5. Pooja and Ingrid Brown did not EmCee the program. Pooja and PDG Julia Phelps took the stage to award PDG Joan Arsenault Rotary’s highest honor/recognition as ‘Service Above Self’ award - that is awarded to up to 150 Rotarians annually.
