On Tuesday, we're looking forward to hearing from
Ian Sherwin, Marblehead's new proprietor
of an imaginative Front St. art gallery.
Ian has returned to Marblehead from Chicago.
Let's give him a warm New England welcome home!

THIRD QUARTER OF THE ROTARY YEAR
ENDS IN MARCH.
OUTSTANDING DUES CHECKS ARE COMING IN.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE BROUGHT THEIR ACCOUNTS UP TO DATE.

We still haven't heard from several members
who need to send in their checks
or call Linda or Jessica by February 28,
particularly if you note a discrepancy in
your financial record that needs correcting.

Rotary Leadership Institute = THIS WEEK!

Wish Amy Hart and Elizabeth Gay a great Rotary experience on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
At a later date, we will be asking them to let us know
what they learned and they'll also be asked to help
mentor other new and newer members
about the workings of Rotary for
the great work Rotarians do around the world.
Thank you, Amy and Elizabeth!

***********************************************************

Mugs up, Everyone! Don't forget yours on Tuesday.
Let's reduce the amount of paper products we use.

************************************************************

Why are you a Rotarian and what Rotary activities
make you come to breakfast at 7:30 a.m. each week?
How did you learn about one of the
largest service-based organizations in the world?...
(The only non-government, non-profit organization that
was requested to help form the United Nations
and, still today, the only non-government organization to
maintain an office at United Nations Plaza, NYC.)
Would you like to share your Rotary experience with
your Rotary family? Let the speakers
committee know (Mike Elkin, Don Doliber,
Margaret Greene). Be it brief or a bit longer, your Rotary
friends would like to hear from you!
Don't be shy.

***********************************************************

Bringing a guest to Rotary...Easy-Peasey!

Do you have a friend who would like to enjoy
breakfast with you and hear an interesting speaker?
(Check out the calendar to the right for speaker schedule.)
Or, when you mention you are a Rotarian, has
someone asked you, "What is Rotary all about?"
Inviting someone to Rotary is easy...
Simply let Linda or Jessica know when
you will be bringing someone.

THE LEE AND BARRY WEED SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP

There is still an opportunity for accepting additional donations to increase the amount already allocated to the scholarship. Please see Linda or Jessica for specifics if you are considering making a donation.

*******************************************************

ENDING POLIO
The District initiative may have ended, but there is still an opportunity to create an activity that could morph into a fundraiser for the Foundation's Polio Plus effort. Speak to a Board member with your idea(s).

Let's put our creative minds together
to raise funds for this Rotary initiative.
Put your thinking caps on, please!

Don't forget to include the Rotary Foundation's
Polio Plus campaign in your charitable giving list.

***********************************************************

Is there something that you would like covered in the weekly Scuttlebutt? Please let Linda or Jessica know (ldoliber@hotmail.com or jdharbar@comcast.net)
