WANTED: Scuttlebutt Replacement
Melissa will be hanging up her Scuttlebutt hat soon...which means we are looking for someone to collect Scuttlebutt news each week, format the news into the newsletter template in ClubRunner and get it sent out electronically to the club. Don't worry, Melissa has all the processes in place, so it will be an easy position to take over. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Melissa at melissa@feelingorganized.com

  Paul Harris Fellowship Information

Notes on awarding a Paul Harris Fellowship:
  • 1,000 Foundation recognition points are required to fund each Paul Harris Fellowship.
  • Our club has sufficient recognition points to fund two Paul Harris Fellowships this year following the nomination process.
  • A Paul Harris Fellowship can be funded by an individual, or group of individuals, by transferring Foundation recognition points available. This award does not need to go through the nomination process.
Question: Want to check how many Foundation recognition points you have available?
Question: Can I transfer some of my Foundation recognition points to the club?
  • Answer: No. The Foundation points may not be transferred from individuals to a club.
If you have questions, please talk to Heidi, Becky or John.

Multi-Club Blood Drive
On June 7th, our club, the Marblehead Rotary Club and the Swampscott Rotary Club will coordinating volunteers for the Blood Drive. The Blood Drive is at The Gerry 5 from 10am - 8pm. We will need some volunteers that day. More details to come.

International Mission for Rotoplast
Rotoplast, a Rotary mission in which surgeons perform free cleft palate repairs on children, will be sending a volunteer team to Cebu, the Phillipines, September 28 for a ten-day stay. Children with untreated cleft palate in the Phillipines basically are left without social, educational, and career opportunities. If anyone would like an international mission experience, the Rotoplast team is looking for a quartermaster (coordinates supplies), a ward coordinator (keeps records and schedules surgeries), and a sterilizer (responsible for keeping equipment and tools germ free). No medical experience is necessary, just a big heart and a desire to make a difference.  Anyone interested? See Linda Doliber. She will give you the right person to contact.
