IT’S LEADERSHIP TIME

The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is holding a seminar not far from Marblehead. The seminar is hosted by RCOMH member Linda Doliber and is a great opportunity to learn more about Rotary and leadership.
New Rotarians can learn about the organization, what it does, and how it does it.
Those who wish to be leaders, will obtain important knowledge about Rotary and leadership skills so important in voluntary organizations.
The short story: RCOMH’s Linda Doliber will host the RLI seminar in our area.
Date: Saturday, April 27th
Time: 7:30am - 3:30pm
Where: Four Points by Sheraton, 1 Audubon Road, Wakefield, MA

2nd CHANCE GOES ON

The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor is now seeking applicants who wish to pursue non-college education or training to improve their skills and widen their employment opportunities. Deadline is mid-July. All the details and small print are here, in the link to the Marblehead Scholarship page.

LET’S PLAY TAG

A signing sheet will go around again this week asking you to authorize RCOMH’s Facebook page to tag you in our posts. Basically, when you are tagged our posts will also show on your Facebook wall. This is great, because tagging is an important multiplier of a post’s visibility.
We would like to encourage you to say yes to the tag as it would contribute to a considerably wider exposure of our club in the community.
We want to increase community awareness of Rotary and the many good service projects our club develops. Also, please be sure to “like” out club’s Facebook page.

CAN YOU STAMP OUT HUNGER?

On Saturday, May 11th, USPS letter carriers will collect food donated by Marblehead residents and will bring it to Masonic Hall, where an army of Rotarians and their friends will sort the donations and check the expiration dates. Linda Doliber says she’ll offer $50 to whoever finds a food item with an expiration date older than 1972, the oldest found so far at Stamp Out Hunger. Service Chair Rosaleen Doherty says this project is “the #1 drive for the Marblehead Food Pantry and we are the main group providing the labor” for that. She’ll soon pass sign-up sheets around. You may pick shifts between 11:30am and 5:00pm.

They need help preparing their facilities for the coming season.

Where: Windrush Farm, 479 Lacy St, North Andover, MA 01845
Why: To help prepare the Farm for the warm weather
Time: 11:30AM – 2:00PM
Who: As many volunteers as we can bring. Dress for outdoor work and bring work gloves. Need more info? Click here to contact Service Chair Rosaleen Doherty.
Thank you John Williams and Zhenique Israelian for your contributions to Scuttlebutt.
