ALL AUGUST MEETINGS
WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE GERRY 5
Due to the ongoing filming of Adam Sandler’s new movie in Marblehead, and the production team’s use of our meeting venue, our club meetings will take place at the Gerry 5 for the entire month of August. Please come to 210 Beacon St, Marblehead, every Tuesday until the end of August.
LUCKY JOHN
John Williams was the lucky winner of our 50/50 raffle taking $318 last week, by purchasing a properly numbered ticket and then drawing the queen of hearts. That that happened on the week of his and Ann’s 50th anniversary was just the cherry on the cake.

During a trip to Washington, D.C., Seyla Nehan and Young Aycock attended a couple of makeup meetings. They were at the Dupont Circle Washington Rotary Club where they were presented a club banner. They also visited with the Washington D.C. Rotary Club at the University Club which is about two blocks from the White House.
PLANET AID
Did you know that 85% of used (and sometimes unused) clothing in Massachusetts is disposed of and becomes trash? Why not donate instead? Planet Aid’s Steven Dibble paid us a visit last week to tell us about how they collect unwanted clothing and household items and turn them into funding for food security projects and other commendable endeavors. They are now helping 86,000 children in Mozambique and 19,000 in India. Steve is looking for three new locations in Marblehead for their steel containers, and he asked for help in securing locations from local businesses. For more info, or if you can help, click here to e-mail Steve, or here to check Planet Aid’s website.
