Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor
May 12, 2024

Thanking Amy, bandaged arm and all, for supplying
tasty sweet bites and delicious fruit
last Tuesday.

Appreciating Francie and Bob for bringing sweet
bites and fruit this Tuesday!

(Either the weeks are going too quickly, or F & B
have very recently supplied food. Have you signed
up yet? We all want the list to be fair and not
overburden any members.)

***********************************************************

Thank you to Judy Gates and Lesley Tracy who "manned"
the registration table in Don's absence. Don will
be back at his job this Tuesday.

GOAL SETTING
LOOKING AHEAD, WHERE ARE WE HEADED?

This is the time of year when the District asks incoming presidents
"What are your goals for the upcoming year?"
Lightening may strike her, but, per Linda, this is where Rotary
can get it wrong...

Presidential goals should be a direct reflection, not of the incoming president's personal goals for their club, but of the incoming president working with input from all the club members
to set the direction for the new year's
program and service projects.

So, in preparation for our June 18 meeting, all active members are requested to put on thinking caps and help Jessica, Tricia, and Linda form a specific list and timeframes for completion
of the club's primary objectives for the 2024-2025 Rotary year.

UPDATED MISSION STATEMENT

"As members of the Marblehead Harbor Rotary, we
focus primarily on local community needs and opportunities through "Service Above Self." Accomplishing more together than we can individually, we also strive to connect and lend support regionally, nationally, and internationally by cooperating with new and well-established humanitarian programs, which are important to the health and well-being of people around the world."

and

At My Rotary.org, members may find access to the list of
Rotary's Seven Areas of Focus

or

Short of the club sending out a formal needs assessment survey, for starters, you may want to canvass local religious, town, educational, and non-profit leaders whom you know personally
and ask them what their most urgent needs may be.
Then see if their needs fit into Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus.
