BOARD MEETING NEWS

1.  The Board of Directors has approved the New Member application for two applicants:
     a. Peter Cohen – Head of Marblehead Community Charter Public School
     b. Lauren McCormack – Executive Director of the Marblehead Museum.
According to our Bylaws, if no written objection (stating reasons) is received by the board from any member (other than Honorary) within 7 days (February 28, 2020) the candidates will be considered elected to membership.
2. The membership categories were approved by the BOD in August 2019.  The membership categories will officially become part of our Bylaws unless there is a written objection received by the BOD within 10 days (March 2, 2020).  Note: These are the same categories described in our Membership Brochure.
3. Another item - NOT requiring your vote but important:
In order for the club to sustain itself financially, the cost for a full breakfast will increase from $10.75 to $12.00 and the cost for beverage only will increase from $5.00 to $6.00 beginning March 1, 2020.  Each year we raffle off a limited number of "beverage only" opportunities. A notice will be provided when the raffle will take place so there will be time to submit your name if interested.

For this we need funds, and the annual dinner helps raise some important dollars.

WE NEED NEW CLUB MEMBERS

March 24th is New Member Day. We are all encouraged to invite one or more relative, friend, co-worker, neighbor or trusted acquaintance to join the club. Ask Kathleen for invitation cards that the club printed for this event. We are planning a special meeting and will discuss details at the meeting.

Thank you, Kathleen Murphy and John Lindahl for your contributions to this edition of Scuttlebutt.
