RCOMH Meeting July 7th, 2020 First let's all congratulate Kathleen for a successful rotary year and for keeping us together as we traverse this new road. And a big shout out to Luis for editing Scuttlebutt for the past two years. Welcome to the new Rotary year. I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday. I have been enjoying to a greater extent than usual our open lands this spring. I have asked Don Morgan from the Marblehead Conservancy to join us at our meeting on July 7th to share what the Conservancy folks have done to improve the paths and trails. You may also know Don from his involvement at the Farmer's Market. Enjoying our town will be more important than ever this summer. Female Humane Society We have been very generous to the Female Humane Society. Thanks to all who contributed. Last year the FHS gave aid to 43 individuals and families. Most of the requests come via the Marblehead Counseling Center, the Housing Authority and Marblehead Council on Aging. FHS was instrumental in creating a community service providers network and a listing of community resources. I hope our service committee can intersect with them to enhance our local community involvement. |
