Ali Mahon Paige and her husband Michael Paige
on "The Importance of the Arts for Young People"
Many of you met Ali during Friends Forever Day and if you were lucky enough to attend the MLT session in the afternoon
you saw her in action.
Her husband Michael has a degree in Art Education and
during the pandemic he hosted a cable TV show
working with kids on art projects.
Also joining us will be Michael's mother.
Please introduce yourselves and welcome them.
Remember - you are always welcome to bring guests
to our breakfast meetings to share the magic!

Friends Forever Recipe #1
Vegan Flapjacks
Prep: 30 Mins Cook Time 30 Mins to 1 Hour
Makes 9
Ingredients
3 Ripe Bananas
2 Tb Golden Syrup
2 Tb Coconut Oil
100 grams Died Apricots - roughly chopped
50 grams Measured Desicant Coconut
50 grams Pumpkin Seeds
200 grams Rolled Oats
Pinch Flakey Sea Salt
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 160 F. Line a 8x8 inch square tin with baking powder.
2. In a large mixing bowl, use a fork to mash the bananas until smooth. If the coconut oil is solid at room temperature, quickly melt the coconut oil on low in the microwave. Stir into the golden syrup and coconut oil into the bananas until combined.
3. Stir in the apricots, pumpkin seeds, oats and a pinch of flakey sea salt until all of the oats are well-coated in the banana mixture.
4. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin using the back of the mixing sppon to press it into the corners of the tin and level the mixture to create a smooth surface.
5. Bake the flapjacks in the oven for 30 minutes or until the top and edges are golden brown.
6. Turn the flapjack out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing into 9 squares. Store in an air tight container 3-4 days.
