Guest Speakers
Joan Arsenault, Past District Governor
Erin Bonney Casey, IRWA Planning and Resiliency Program Manager
on a very special and important topic...
The Advocacy Toolkit for Water Conservation:
Funded by the Rotary International Global Grant
"Saving the Ipswich River & Watersheds: The Lifeblood of Our Communities"
This presentation will update you on the grant and provide a brief training for Rotarians to educate
the public at local garden centers and community events about the water challenges facing us
and the individual actions you can take to conserve water.
The Ipswich River is one of the top 10 most Endangered Rivers in America,
threatened by over-use of its limited flow.
In fact, last August, the river plummeted through all previous drought records when it reached zero flow.
The Ipswich River Watershed Association (IRWA) and the Ipswich-Rowley Rotary Club are
partnering on work funded by a Rotary International grant to reduce water use in the region.
Given the importance of this topic and the significance of this RI Grant,
please do invite your friends and family to join us.
And, if possible, please let Jessica know by Monday noon,
how many guests may be attending.
This gives us a chance to let Louise know
so she can plan breakfast accordingly.
