PRESIDENT’S CORNER
Project Kindness is on and we received eight requests for a gift card in the first 24 hours. We will purchase cards this week and begin delivery to the applicants. Thank you ADG Bob Gravino for a generous donation.
During the last club meeting, a sub-committee was formed to study alternatives for this year’s Holiday Pops and come back to the Board and membership with proposals. Members are Patricia Sullivan, Jessica Barnett, Judith Black, Diane Barbour, Cyndi Kilbarger, Lauren McCormack and John Williams.

RAPID INCREASE OF COVID-19 CASES
IN OUR AREA
Corona virus cases reported in our area continue to rise. Marblehead had 118 infections on April 29, up from 52 two weeks ago. The Marblehead Reporter says one town resident has died from Covid-19. Lynn registered a dramatic rise in cases to 2,056 from 745 two weeks ago. Swampscott has 97 cases reported, and Salem 369. You may access the public health page and Mass State database here.

PAUL HARRIS NOMINATIONS
The deadline for Paul Harris Fellowships a.k.a. Paul Harris Awards is today, May 1st. There’s a link below to the nomination form so you can submit a proposal recognizing a deserving member of our community. Fill out the form as completely as possible, and include the reasons why you believe this individual should be presented with the fellowship.
E-mail your nomination form to Don Doliber or Karyn Langtoday Also, please remember that club members can bundle their individual points and give a PH to a person of their choice.

We are not collecting food while the club activities are suspended. The Marblehead Food Pantry is not accepting in kind donations during the corona virus crisis but will gladly accept financial contributions. Please check the Food Pantry website for details.
