From Joan Arsenault, past District Governor-Through contact with Charlie Callanan, UNOPS Director – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Rotary Zone Director Valerie Wafer there is an URGENT need for Oxygen Concentrators in India. Rotary has set up an India Covid Relief Project. Due to the urgency of the situation in India this project will be open till the 24th. May 2021. For US donations, Rotary District 6400 Foundation has offered their assistance to be the routing Foundations for the funds for this COVID Project. Here are the financial details to be shared with your respective clubs, agencies, and well-wishers so they can donate to the India Covid Relief Project. Send checks to: Rotary District 6400 Foundation, Manager's Office, 201 S. Main Street Plymouth, MI 48170 Please include a copy of the attached letter along with the check to ensure it is allocated correctly and for a tax receipt. The price of each Oxygen concentrator in India is approximately US $1000 which includes shipping and handling. Rotary’s goal is to have the funds purchase at least 100 units if not more.
