We’re planning another memorable day in Marblehead for our Irish Friends Forever! After meeting our MHS student hosts at the high school for lunch, we'll take to the high seas with Capt. Mentuck and a fireside challenge at the BYC. We'll then finish at the Gerry with Tom Harvey’s motivational exercises.
The students will be ready to meet and greet the Rotarians from our 2 Marblehead clubs at 5:30! Linda Bassett is on board to do the end of day dinner at the Gerry which will be open to all (spouses, children, etc) at 6:00 for dinner - as always, featuring Champion’s spectacular steak tips!
The young people will be sitting at every table for conversation during dinner and giving their presentation after with departure around 8. The price per person is $20. We need a head count this week, so let Cyndi Kilbarger know! Pre-payment is always appreciated!

NEW PLAN for Thanksgiving Food Pantry Donations - November Collection
Our club has traditionally enjoyed doing something special for the food pantry around holiday time. This year, the food pantry is asking for a much-needed item from us — the purchase of disposable aluminum roasting pans with handles that can support a 12 to 16 pound turkey. The pantry anticipates that 90 to 100+ families will sign-up for turkeys for Thanksgiving this year.
A $10 donation = about 3 roasting pans. To purchase and deliver the pans in time for the food pantry's Thanksgiving turkey and food distribution on Tues.,, Nov. 21, and to make this as convenient as possible for our members, we will be inviting cash donations now through Nov 6 and will take responsibility for arranging the actual purchasing. Donations can be given to Jessica.
In addition, the pantry may be contacting us for volunteers to help with food distribution…so, please stand-by.
Farmers Market: Penny Bear Sales!
Penny Wigglesworth was at the Farmers Market on Saturday with her Penny Bears. Her bears raised over $200 for Shelter Box. Thank you so much Penny!! Below is a Penny Bear on his way home after being adopted by a loving new parent.

As announced last month, the playground for the Living Water Children Centre in Arusha, Tanzania, has been completed with our club’s financial help. On Tues., Dec 19, Sherry Fine and Sue Abrams will once again be our guest speakers to give us a full update following their trip to the school and their final inspection of the playground itself.
