Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor is offering $8500 in Scholarships to Graduating High School Seniors in 2017

The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor will award three (3) scholarships for 2017.  The club will choose one (1) candidate for The Fraffie Welch Scholarship-- a four (4) year scholarship of $2500 per year ($10,000 for 4 years).  Two (2) other candidates will each be awarded a $3000 single year grant that is not renewable.

* Eligibility: 1) Any graduating senior of Marblehead High School; or 2) a graduating senior from another high school who is a resident of Marblehead; 3) the graduate intends to pursue a degree from an accredited college, university or vocational school beginning the following semester.

The ideal candidate is an individual a) who has a strong academic record; b) has demonstrated leadership, determination and integrity; and c) who the selection committee feels can best represent the values of Rotary (building goodwill and friendship, high ethical standards; the application of the ideal of service to personal, business and community life; dedication to one’s profession and how it addresses the problems and needs of society).

Other criteria for selection are listed on the application. Financial need will be considered. Finalists may be interviewed.
